“CBS SUNDAY MORNING” TOPS SIX MILLION VIEWERS FOR THE FIFTH TIME THIS SEASON
CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD posted year-to-year gains in adults 25-54 and viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Jan. 26, 2014. CBS SUNDAY MORNING was the #1 Sunday morning news program in viewers and adults 25-54.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING delivered 6.06m viewers and a 1.6/08 in adults 25-54. The broadcast marked the fifth time this season CBS SUNDAY MORNING delivered more than six million viewers. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +7% in both adults 25-54 (from 1.5/07) and viewers (from 5.66m).
Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING is up +5% in viewers (5.91m from 5.60m) and even in adults 25-54 (1.5/07) compared to last season.
Sunday’s broadcast featured Lee Cowan’s profile of rapper Snoop Dogg, John Blackstone’s report on how technology has changed the way people listen to music, Mo Rocca’s look into the history behind cartoonist Rube Goldberg and the notion of creating more complicated ways to do simple things, and Serena Altschul’s interview with Academy Award-nominated actor-writer Steve Coogan.
