MIAMI – SEPTEMBER 4, 2013- Club Leon gets ready to defend its place at the top of the Mexican League standings as it faces off against Chiapas in a Week 9 duel this Saturday, September 7 at 9PM/8C/6P, only on Telemundo. Leon wants to keep riding its recent wave of success marked by its undefeated record so far in the tournament against a tough opponent that wants to come back to the playoffs for the first time since 2012. Andrés Cantor will be on the call with the play-by-play alongside Sammy Sadovnik, who will provide the analysis and commentary during a match that promises to provide plenty of thrills and goals. This matchup can also be seen on the web from anywhere in the country by visiting or using the Deportes Telemundo app on mobile devices.

The spotlight will shine on two Argentinean goal scorers this Saturday night: Leon’s Mauro Boselli and Chiapas’ Lucas Viatri. These two strikers share a common bond as former starting forwards for Boca Juniors and both of them also are starting out their Mexican League stints with their respective teams this season

Boselli is tied for third in the Liga MX Top Scorers  table with five goals in eight matches thus far, including one of the two goals his team scored in a 2-0 win over Santos in Week 8. Boselli’s arrival has proved to be a boost for a team that is undefeated and tied for first place with Morelia and Club America. Leon’s unbeaten streak extends to last season and currently stands at 15 matches, a league best mark.

Chiapas hopes to be able to defeat Leon for the first time since their opponent this Saturday came back to Mexico’s First Division. The Jaguars defeated Tijuana 3-1 in Week 8 thanks in part to Viatri, who scored in that match and boasts two goals in five matches for a team that is just one point away from the last playoff spot and five away from the tournament leaders .
