Destination America, the first and only network to celebrate the people, places and stories of the United States, garnered its best month ever in July. Year to date, Destination America is up double-digits in Prime and Total Day (6a-6a) delivery among all key demos – P2+, HH, and P/M/W 25-54. Currently available in 59.6M homes, in primetime Destination America out-delivered BBC America (79.5M subs), GSN (75M subs), The Weather Channel (100.2M subs), CNBC (97.5M subs), Speed (81.4M subs), Nat Geo Wild (56.8M subs), ESPNEWS (74.7M subs), G4 (61.6M subs), DIY Network (57.8M subs), MLB Networks (69.9M subs) and Golf Channel (84.4M subs) among P25-54.

Since its launch on 5/28/12, Destination America ranks #1 in Prime delivery for P25-54, M25-54 and M18-49 among networks with less than 60M subscribers and #1 in Total Day delivery for M25-54 and M18-49 (tied with NFLN).

P 18-49 +43% (50k vs. 35k)
M 18-49 +33% (28k vs. 21k)

The record July delivery was driven in part by Season 3 of BBQ Pitmasters, which concluded on Sunday 7/1/12 and ranks as Destination America’s #1 original series ever among nearly all key demos: P2+, HH, P/M25-54 and P/M18-49 delivery. BBQ Pitmasters’ premiere average was also Destination America’s #1 series ever among M25-54 delivery.

United States of Food was also a star performer for the month, becoming the #1 original series debut for the network and delivering P2+ (283k), HH (198k), P25-54 (170k) and P18-49 (150k).

The week of 7/2 was Destination America’s Best Week Ever for Total Day (6a-6a) for delivery of P2+ (131k); HH (98k) and P25-54 (71k), driven by the 4th of July marathon of BBQ Pitmasters and the series debut of United States of Food (United States of Bacon episode).
