ESPN to Exclusively Present Live Coverage of Roger Clemens’ Sugar Land Skeeters Start


ESPN will exclusively present live, multiplatform coverage of Roger Clemens’ start with the Sugar Land Skeeters when they host the Bridgeport Bluefish in an Atlantic League Baseball minor league game on Saturday, Aug. 25, at 8:05 p.m. ET. SportsCenter on ESPNEWS will cut-in live to every inning Clemens pitches. In addition, the entire game will be available live on ESPN3 and ESPN Classic. Longhorn Network’s Kevin Dunn (play-by-play) and guest analyst Danny Graves (former MLB pitcher) will provide commentary.


ESPN’s exclusive, multiplatform coverage will also include:

  • Ø Pregame interview with Clemens;
  • Ø In-game interviews with Gary Gaetti (Skeeters manager) and Tal Smith (Skeeters special advisor);
  • Ø Baseball Tonight on ESPN will provide in-progress highlights during its 10 p.m. show and a one-on-one postgame interview with Clemens;
  • Ø will offer in-progress highlights and updates on the homepage, MLB section page and;
  • Ø Baseball Tonight Facebook page will provide in-progress updates during the game;

ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNEWS and Longhorn Network will also show live shots throughout the day from Constellation Field – home of the Skeeters – where Clemens will be preparing for his start.
