espnW will unite some of the most talented female athletes, leaders and sports innovators for the third annual espnW: Women + Sports Summit presented by Lexus, Oct. 1-3, in Tucson, Ariz. This year’s Summit, The Future Is Ours, will focus on the significant role of women in sports through a mix of panel discussions, interactive work sessions and speakers. Summit attendees include gymnast and two-time Olympic Gold medalist Aly Raisman, sprinter and three-time medalist Carmelita Jeter, basketball legend Sheryl Swoopes, soccer icons Julie Foudy and Kristine Lilly and beach volleyball player and fitness expert Gabrielle Reece. Industry leaders include the NBA’s Adam Silver, Columbia University’s Val Ackerman, Burton’s Donna Carpenter, the WTA’s Stacey Allaster, Facebook’s Rebecca Van Dyck, DeVos Sports Business Management’s Dr. Richard Lapchick and ESPN President John Skipper and ESPN Executive Vice President & CFO Christine Driessen.
