UniMás was the No. 2 Spanish-Language Network on Sunday Night Last Week, Out-Delivering Telemundo Among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49, and Adults 18-34

 

UniMás Broadcast Prime Highlights – First Quarter 2014

 

  • First Quarter 2014 marked the third consecutive quarter of audience growth on UniMás among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49, and Adults 18-34, versus Telemundo’s reported audience declines (since 2Q13).

 

ü  UniMás finished first quarter averaging 813,000 Total Viewers 2+, 441,000 Adults 18-49, and 253,000 Adults 18-34.

 

ü  During 1Q14, UniMás was the only broadcast network to build its audience each consecutive month.

 

ü  Compared to the previous quarter, UniMás reported the largest percentage growth of all broadcast networks, increasing its Total Viewers 2+ (+32%), Adults 18-49 (+37%), and Adults 18-34 (+42%) while Telemundo had audience declines of -3% with both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

 

ü  Reported double digit audience growth (1Q14 vs. 1Q13) with Total Viewers 2+ (+25%), Adults 18-49 (+23%), and Adults 18-34 (+17%) while Telemundo declined -5%, -9%, and -15% respectively.

 

UniMás Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of March 24, 2014 to March 30, 2014

 

  • Last week, for the fifth consecutive week, UniMás was the No. 2 Spanish-language network, beating Telemundo during the Monday-Friday 10 p.m. hour.

 

ü  “La Viuda Negra” averaged more Total Viewers 2+ (1.2 Million, +1%), Adults 18-49 (627,000, +3%), and Adults 18-34 (333,000, +23%), making UniMás the #2 Spanish-language network during the Monday- Friday 10 p.m. hour.

 

ü  Among Adults 18-34, UniMás’ 10 p.m. dramatic series “La Viuda Negra” out-delivered Telemundo’s “Camelia la Texana” on every night this past week.

 

ü  During the month of March 2014, “La Viuda Negra” delivered +3% more Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49 than Telemundo’s “Camelia la Texana.” Furthermore “La Viuda Negra” has a double digit advantage over “Camelia la Texana” among Adults 18-34 (+14%).

 

  • UniMás was also the No. 2 Spanish-language network on Sunday night last week, out-delivering Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+9%), Adults 18-49 (+30%), and Adults 18-34 (+10%). The 9 p.m. Liga Mexicana match between America and Guadalajara drove UniMas’ advantage over Telemundo and attracted 2.3 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.5 Million Adults 18-49, and 691,000 Adults 18-34 viewers.

 

ü  The live soccer match was the most-viewed Súper Clásico on a UCI network since 2010 among both Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49.

 

ü  Compared to the most recent Súper Clásico on UCI networks, Sunday’s match performance increased +16% among Total Viewers 2+ and +36% among A18-49.

 

ü  This ranks as the most-viewed LMX match of 2014 on any network, and the most-viewed LMX regular season match since 3/31/13.

 

  • UniMás reported significant week-over-week audience growth with Total Viewers 2+ (+47% to 1 Million), Adults 18-49 (+52% to 533,000), Adults 18-34 (+49% to 260,000).

 

  • Versus the same week a year ago (03/25/13- 03/31/13), UniMás reported double-digit percentage growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+49%), Adults 18-49 (+47%), and Adults 18-34 (+53%) viewers.

 

  • In the current 2013/2014 season, UniMás reported primetime audience growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+6%) and Adults 18-49 (+3%) over the comparable weeks in the 2012/2013 season. 

 

  • On Thursday night, UniMás was the #2 Spanish-language network, attracting more Adults 18-34 viewers (+14%) than Telemundo.

 

ü  UniMás reported week-over-week audience increases on Thursday night among Total Viewers 2+ (+16% to 922,000), Adults 18-49 (+22% to 486,000), Adults 18-34 (+39% to 261,000).

 

ü  The 8 p.m. movie presentation “Waist Deep” nearly doubled its Adult 18-34 (+82% to 213,000) average from previous Thursday movie airing of “Elektra” while drawing in more Adults 18-49 (+49% to 398,000). 

 

ü  Airing head-to-head, “La Viuda Negra” attracted more Total Viewers 2+ (25%) and Adults 18-49 (+19%), and Adults 18-34 (+36%) than Telemundo’s 10 p.m. novela.  In fact, “La Viuda Negra” averaged more Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 than Telemundo’s 8 p.m. (“La Impostora”) and 9 p.m. (“En Otra Piel”) novelas.

 

  • UniMás, on average, more than tripled the combined audience of Estrella, Azteca, and MundoFox among Adults 18-49 (+225%) and Adults 18-34 (+288%). Furthermore, UniMás more than doubled the combined audience of Estrella, Azteca, and MundoFox with Total Viewers 2+ (+158%).
