GMC Records Major Gains Across Key Demos
Best Year (2011), Best Quarter (Q4), Best Month (December) in Network’s History
ATLANTA, Dec. 21, 2011– GMC, America’s favorite television channel for uplifting music and family entertainment, announced today that it has generated major gains against key demos, resulting in the network’s best-ever year (2011), quarter (Q4) and month (December) among A25-54 and A18-49, and W25-54 and W18-49. Among W25-54 total day, GMC was up 154% in December over the same month a year ago, +73% in Q4 and 33% year-over-year. Gains in other key demos included W18-49 (December +160%, Q4 +76%, year +55%), A25-54 (December +152%, Q4 + 72%, year +27%), and A18-49 (December +184%, Q4 +100%, year +41%). (source 2)
Capping off the banner year was GMC’s most-watched World Premiere Movie, The Heart of Christmas, which was viewed by more than 3.6 million viewers during its premiere cycle in December (source 3). And GMC’s newest series, “She’s Still Not Our Sister,” premiered in December with more than 1.4 million viewers tuning to its premiere cycle (source 4).
