GMC RECORDS STRONGEST QUARTER EVER
FOR DELIVERY IN HOUSEHOLDS,
A18-49 AND A25-54
Third Fastest Growing Ad-Supported Cable Net for Quarter
ATLANTA, Sept. 27, 2011– GMC, America’s favorite network for uplifting music and family entertainment, announced today that the third quarter was the strongest in the network’s seven-year history for delivery in total day households, A18-49 and A25-54. The stellar showing marked GMC’s 13th consecutive quarter of year-to-year growth in all three categories (source 1), and its 62% household ratings growth for the quarter makes it the third fastest growing network in ad-supported cable (source 2).
GMC’s record-setting quarter was driven by strength across the entire schedule, highlighted by 80% household growth in primetime (source 3). Primetime growth was led by the GMC World Premiere Movies Trinity Goodheart (starring R&B sensation Eric Benét), which premiered on Aug. 20 and A Mile in His Shoes on Sept. 25, and the GMC World Premiere Gospel Play, The Love You Save, on Sept. 17.
Trinity Goodheart was the network’s strongest-ever GMC World Premiere Movie, delivering more than 2.8 million total viewers during its premiere cycle (source 4). This past Sunday, the GMC World Premiere Movie A Mile in His Shoes was the second highest World Premiere Movie night in households (source 5). The Love You Save posted the network’s strongest-ever gospel play premiere night among A25-54 (source 6).
GMC closed out the quarter with a record-breaking September, registering its highest delivery ever in total day households, A18-49 and A25-54 (source 7).
