“I know that so many of my fellow New Yorkers have been deeply affected by this terrible storm,” said Behar. “I also believe that laughter is essential, now more than ever, as we rebuild after this disaster.”

The event is presented in conjunction with 92nd Street Y in New York City, the Jewish cultural and community center known for its wide-ranging conversations and talks, where Behar frequently appears. The show will take place live at 92nd Street Y on Monday, December 10th and will air on Current TV on Friday, December 14th at 9PM ET, with subsequent airings throughout the holiday season.

Current TV and 92Y are donating proceeds from the benefit to relief efforts benefitting Sandy victims in the tri-state area through two charities – UJA-Federation of New York, which provides cash assistance, temporary housing, food, and far more to the thousands of New Yorkers struggling in the aftermath of the storm, and Rebuilding Together, which provides critical repairs and renovations for low-income homeowners. Fundraising efforts will be accomplished through the sale of tickets, along with on-air and social media calls to solicit funds that go directly to the charities.
