May Sweeps to-Date, UniMás Increased its Adults 18-49 (+55%) and Adults 18-34 (+62%) Audience Over the Prior Sweeps While Telemundo Reported Declines

UniMás Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of May 5, 2014 to May 11, 2014

 

  • May Sweeps to-date, UniMás attracted more Adults 18-49 (+55%) and Adults 18-34 (+62%) versus the prior sweeps period-to-date, while Telemundo reported declines of (-33%) and (-38%) respectively.
  • For the eleventh consecutive week, UniMás was the #2 Spanish-language network, beating Telemundo during the Monday-Friday 10 p.m. hour. UniMás held a double-digit advantage over Telemundo for the 10 p.m. hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+16%), Adults 18-49 (+30%), and Adults 18-34 (+51%) viewers.
  • UniMás was the #1 Spanish-language network on Saturday night, out-delivering Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+34%), Adults 18-49 (+59%), and Adults 18-34 (+56%).

 

ü  This marks the fourth consecutive Saturday night UniMás out-delivered Telemundo among Adults 18-34.  UniMás also out-delivered Telemundo for the second consecutive Saturday among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49.

 

ü   At 9 p.m., UniMás aired the Liga Mexicana soccer match between Santos and Pachuca.  The match averaged 1.1 Million Total Viewers 2+, 645,000 Adults 18-49, and 312,000 Adults 18-34.  The soccer match was also a top pick for the night among Adults 18-49 (#7) and Adults 18-34 (#4). 

  • On Wednesday night, UniMás clinched the #2 Spanish-language rank, beating Telemundo among Adults 18-34 (+14%) for the second consecutive Wednesday night.

 

  • On Thursday night, UniMás clinched the #2 Spanish-language network rank for the second consecutive night, out-delivering Telemundo with Adults 18-34 (+5%).

 

  • In the current 2013/2014 season, UniMás reported primetime audience growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+14%) and Adults 18-49 (+14%), and Adults 18-34 (+11%) over the comparable weeks in the 2012/2013 season. 

 

  • Versus the same week a year ago (05/06/13-05/12/13), UniMás reported double-digit percentage growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+45%), Adults 18-49 (+45%), and Adults 18-34 (+47%) viewers.

 

  • UniMás, on average, more than doubled the combined audience of Estrella, Azteca, and MundoFox among Total Viewers 2+ (+112%), Adults 18-49 (+169%) and Adults 18-34 (+242%).
