Arsenal starts this new campaign with championship aspirations after finishing fourth in the league last season. Arsenal was the third highest scoring team with 72 goals and the second best defense, allowing just 37 goals and earning them a spot for the UEFA Champions League as a result. The Gunners face off against Aston Villa, which feature American goalkeeper Brad Guzan and is one of the most storied squads in English soccer with seven titles in its history

Manchester United kicks off its defense of the Barclays Premier League throne against Swansea City. The Red Devils won it all with plenty to spare last season with an 11-point advantage over second place Manchester City.  Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez, one of their most prominent players, looks to build on last year’s sensational campaign, during which he scored 10 goals for the “Red Devils.”

Swansea City was last season’s Cinderella story as it obtained a spot in the Europa League, European soccer’s second most important competition. Swansea has reason to believe it can pull off the upset, since they tied 1-1 the last time that they met at Liberty Stadium.
