World Cup-Qualifying Match Ranked #1 Among Adults 18-49 in Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas and San Francisco Regardless of Language
MIAMI- September 10, 2012- Telemundo Media’s broadcast of the “Rumbo al Mundial” World Cup qualifying match between Costa Rica and Mexico on Friday, September 7, at 9:45pm ET averaged 2.58 million total viewers and 1.66 million adults 18-49 according to Nielsen. Called live by the internationally acclaimed sportscaster Andres Cantor from the Estadio Nacional in San Jose Costa Rica, the Rumbo al Mundial game reached a national cumulative audience of 4.86 million total viewers and allowed Telemundo to deliver its highest rated Friday night of the 2011-12 season among total viewers and adults 18-49.
Locally, the game ranked #1 in Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, and San Francisco among adults 18-49, beating Univision and all English-language networks in these key markets.
