MIAMI – August 14, 2013 – Telemundo Media unveiled the most enhanced and innovative social TV experience for the upcoming “Premios Tu Mundo” Awards to air live from the American Airlines Arena on Thursday, August 15 at 8pm ET. In an industry first, the Spanish-language network will exclusively reveal the winner of its “Más Social” award through a Vine video aired during the show. Additionally, Vine and zeebox will partner for the first time to provide a seamless experience for zeebox users. “Premios Tu Mundo” will also have a special appearance by Jessi Smiles, actress, singer and Vine Celebrity. Smiles will share exclusive Vines to over 1 Million of her followers starting at the Blue Carpet event with all the behind-the-scenes of the show.

Vine: In addition to the “Más Social” award recipient, viewers can also get an exclusive view of the event with “Celebrity Viners” during the “Premios Tu Mundo” Blue Carpet by TV personalities Adamari Lopez (Un Nuevo Dia), Jorge Bernal (Al Rojo Vivo; La Voz Kids) and actor Pablo Azar (Marido en Alquiler). The network has also partnered with People en Español to create a unique experience as celebrities walk the carpet and visit the Vine Booth for exclusive six-second interviews.
zeebox: Users will have a state-of-the-art experience with the latest on Twitter and Facebook, participate in polls to predict top winners of the night and vote for the “Best Dressed” celebrity that will be revealed the following morning on “Un Nuevo Dia.” For the first time ever, the application will feature access to all videos and content related to “Premios Tu Mundo,” People en Español and talent’s Vine activities.
Twitter: Followers of @PremiosTuMundo will have the exclusive opportunity to vote for their favorite celebrity in winning the “Favorito de la Noche,” award based on real-time tweets. Fans need to mention their favorite talent’s name or handle, along with #PremiosTuMundo in order to vote. The winner will be announced on-air at the end of the 2-hour broadcast. Users can also submit questions via #PremiosTuMundo for the Blue Carpet hosts to ask celebrities during the live television event.
Instagram: During rehearsals, celebrities will come to Telemundo’s exclusive confessional booth to answer fan-generated questions via Instagram video. The best videos will be featured on Telemundo.com.
Facebook: The over 10-million Facebook Fanbase will have exclusive access to live chats during rehearsals as well as “Made for Facebook” graphics to help them share and support their favorite performances during the live broadcast on Thursday.
