Janette (Kim Dickens), Aunt Mimi (Elizabeth Ashley) and Annie (Lucia Micarelli) commit to new deals, with varying degrees of enthusiasm. Toni (Melissa Leo) may have found the killer she seeks, but Terry (David Morse) is still looking for his; L.P. (Chris Coy) meets his victim’s family; Antoine (Wendell Pierce) plays his bone in Texas; Sonny (Michiel Huisman) plays his music closer to home.

Antoine does a good deed, and a homeowner suspects Nelson’s (Jon Seda) deeds may not be so good. Davis (Steve Zahn) fails to sign “Sugar Boy” Crawford for his opera, but Delmond (Rob Brown) gets his father to sign up for assistance from New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic. L.P. learns that his headless skeleton wasn’t always so.

Episode #26: “I Thought I Heard Buddy Bolden Say”

Albert’s (Clarke Peters) kids learn about his lymphoma. Toni learns about Sofia’s (India Ennenga) boyfriend. Sofia gets stopped by Officer Billy Wilson (Lucky Johnson), prompting Toni to appeal to NOPD captain Marcus Grayson (John Eyez). Janette has a reunion.
