The action gets underway on Thursday, July 16, 2015 with the LIVE pre-show at 7 p.m. ET/PT (6 p.m. Central) followed by the spectacular youth awards show at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. Central)


WHAT:          Hit makers from every genre are ready to announce the winners of Univision Network’s “Premios Juventud” (PJ) Youth Awards 2015, the summer’s most anticipated event, as chosen by bilingual millennials and Latin youth on Thursday, July 16th.

 

Presenters include some of the hottest names in Hispanic entertainment, including actors Cristián de la  Fuente, Paulina Goto, Adriana Louvier, Fanny Lu, Michael Peña, and Marjorie de Sousa, as well as Univision TV and Radio hosts Enrique Santos and Rodolfo “El Chamo” Soules. The world of music will be represented by Argentine singer Axel and Spain’s Natalia Jiménez, as well as Mexican group Calibre 50 and Afro-Colombian hip-hoppers ChocQuibTown. Also presenting awards will be actress and TV host Zuleyka Rivera and “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (Our Latin Beauty) 2015 winner Francisca Lachapel.

 

A highlight of the evening will be Univision News anchor Jorge Ramos’ presentation of two academic scholarships honoring Hispanic high school seniors. Sponsored for the third consecutive year by Dr Pepper®, the scholarships will award the top contender with $50,000 and the runner-up with $25,000. Viewers will get to know them through vignettes about their personal stories and academic successes. Students watching live will have the opportunity to enter a $1,000 tuition giveaway by sharing their biggest education and career goals via Twitter, using the hashtag #TuBecaConcurso and mentioning @DrPepper.

 

The night’s events will take a moment to feature a heartfelt homage to Hispanic TV veteran Mario Kreutzberger better-known as Don Francisco, the legendary host wrapping up 53 years of “Sábado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) on air. Additionally, the program pays homage to honor the fallen idol and musical Regional Mexican legend, Joan Sebastian, a talented and respected singer songwriter.

 

The  big night begins at 7 p.m. ET/PT (6 p.m. Central)  with an exciting pre-show featuring live performances, fashion do’s and don’ts, makeovers, daring questions for the artists, and more. William Valdés will head up Univision’s coverage of the awards show on social media, immediately after co-hosting the “Noche de Estrellas de Premios Juventud” (Night of Stars) alongside Carlos Calderón, Daniela di Giacomo and Maite Perroni.

 

For the “Premios Juventud” show at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. Central), which recognizes those who Hispanic youth consider tops in music, movies, telenovelas, sports, and popular culture, veteran hosts Ninel Conde and William Levy will be joined by Univision Network’s own Alejandra Espinoza and Mexican music star El Dasa, who will also perform during the show.

 

Viewers will be treated to performances from some of the hottest musical acts of today and tomorrow. Established and up-an-coming artists from four different continents who are scheduled to perform on this unforgettable all-start night are:
