One more bit of gushy love for Sons of Anarchy and then no more! At least until next week, when hopefully even more people will watch. I think it’s the best show on television right now. I was late to the party, but I was fine with that because I wound up getting to watch 15 episodes (the first season plus a couple from season two) back-to-back without having to wait. When last night’s episode (3.702 million average viewers and a 2.0 adults 18-49 rating) finished I was kinda irked that I have to wait another week.
But while I was late to the party, E! Online’s Jennifer Godwin displayed skills that would make even Nostradamus envious in this post from last year declaring herself “Son’s of Anarchy’s Biggest Fan” before the show ever even premiered!
Jen should blow on her knuckles with pride. FX should, too. The show is up more than 100% from year ago occupant “The Shield” (which SOA creator and executive producer Kurt Sutter used to work on before getting out from under Shawn Ryan’s wing and flourishing!), it’s outperforming FX’s primetime average by 185 percent in viewers and 242 percent in adults 18-49, and its up over its season one average by 68% in viewers and 77% with adults 18-49.
