After twelve weeks of the 2011-12 TV season (ending 12/11/11), CBS & FOX remain tied among the advertiser prized adults 18-49 ratings for the season with a 3.3 average rating (though CBS holds a slight lead overall, rounded to a tenth of a ratings point, it’s a Nielsen tie). ABC is third with a 2.7 rating. NBC is fourth with a 2.6 rating. Univision is in fifth with a 1.5 rating average . CW is sixth with a 0.9 rating average (down 25%).

In the press release writer coveted total viewership, CBS is comfortably leading  averaging 12.69 million viewers. ABC is second with 9.76m, followed by FOX with 9.44m, NBC with 7.38m, Univision with 3.59m and CW with 2.08 million.

Note that these season to date ratings averages are “Most Current” ratings which is a combination of Live + 7 Day DVR viewing for weeks more than 2 weeks ago and Live + Same Day DVR viewing for the immediately preceding 2 weeks.
