In the first full week of broadcast primetime “summer” (May 30- June 5), with 3 NBA Finals games ABC overwhelmed the competition in the primetime adults 18-49 ratings averaging a 2.9 adults 18-49 rating.
NBC placed second with a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating average. Univision and Fox finished tied for third with a 1.5 adults 18-49 average. CBS finished fifth, averaging a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating. The CW finished sixth with a 0.3 adults 18-49 rating average.
ABC was also on top of the press release friendly, but revenue meaningless, average viewership for the week averaging 7.67 million viewers. Trailing them were CBS 6.59 million, NBC 5.61m, Fox 4.25m, Univision 3.61m, and the CW 0.93m.
Each adults 18-49 rating point is a percentage of the adults 18-49 US TV population and equals 1.315 million adults 18-49.
