In week 49 of the broadcast television season ending Sunday, August 26 2012, CBS and NBC tied for first place, each with a 1.5 rating average. FOX was number three with a 1.4 rating average. Univision was fourth with a 1.2 rating average. ABC was fifth with a 1.1 rating average. The CW finished last with a 0.3 adults 18-49 rating average.
CBS won the week with total viewers, averaging 5.84 million viewers, ahead of second place NBC with 5.13 million viewers. ABC was third with 4.09 million, followed by FOX with 3.79 million, Univision with 3.18 million, and the CW with 0.74 million.
Each adults 18-49 rating point is a percentage of the adults 18-49 US TV population and equals 1.279 million adults 18-49.
