With one of the top Monday Night Football telecasts of all time, plus the continuing college football bowl season, ESPN towered over the cable primetime competition, and most broadcast networks last week. ESPN’s 18-49 primetime average last week works out to a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating, better than every broadcast network except Fox. ESPN’s average primetime viewership was behind CBS’s, effectively tied with Fox, and ahead of NBC and ABC (and, of course, the CW).
Folks hoping for ESPN to move off the top spot don’t have too much longer to wait, Monday Night Football is now over for the season, and the college bowl games on ESPN wrap up on January 10.
Nickelodeon remained comfortably at the top of the total day average viewership rankings.
