Even with a big NCAA Men’s Basketball Final (Monday) on CBS last week, Fox squeeked by to win the adults 18-49 ratings title for the week. It was even closer than it looks, both networks had about a 2.95 rating, but Fox’s rounded up, and CBS’ rounded down.

As pitifully as NBC did last week, ABC beat them by just 0.4 adults 18-49 ratings points on the week as their 2.1 rating was nothing to brag about. ABC will need to do better than that each week for the rest of the season to have a chance to catch NBC for the season’s third place in adults 18-49.

Note that the chart includes RATINGS not VIEWERS as was typical in our weekly network ratings posts prior to July, 2009.

Each rating point is a percentage of the US TV population in that demographic group and equals: 2.90 million viewers, 1.32 million adults 18-49, 0.68 million adults 18-34 and 1.24 million adults 25-54.
