With Fox’s American Idol, House and Bones all back, and CBS airing a number of reruns, the age demos (18-49, 18-34, 25-54) were all Fox’s, but CBS held a slight edge in average viewers for the 18th week of the 2008-9 season (January 19-25).

CBS’s average viewership of 10.82 million beat Fox by less than 300,000 average viewers, and ABC and NBC were distant 3rd and 4th places. For demo adults 18-49 it was Fox  over ABC by 5.06 million to 3.89 million. Fox also won demo adults 25-54 over CBS by 5.40 million to 4.50 million viewers, again with ABC and NBC trailing. In adults 18-34, Fox lead with 2.41 million to 1.76 million for ABC..

Tiny Network Smackdown Update! CW’s original shows are back and with them it was able to easily sweep the week from MyNetworkTV across all measures we track, but the viewership gap was only 50,000 average viewers.
