In week 45 of the broadcast television season ending Sunday, July 29, 2012, NBC was number one among adults 18-49 with a 5.8 rating average, driven by Olympics coverage. FOX was second with a 1.4 rating average. Univision was number three with a 1.3 rating average. CBS took fourth, earning a 1.1 rating average. ABC was fifth with a 1.0 average. The CW finished last with a 0.2 adults 18-49 rating average.
NBC won the week with total viewers, averaging 18.97 million viewers, ahead of second place CBS with 4.58 million viewers. FOX was third with 3.57 million, followed by ABC with 3.46 million, Univision with 3.44 million, and the CW with 0.62 million.
Each adults 18-49 rating point is a percentage of the adults 18-49 US TV population and equals 1.279 million adults 18-49.
