Even though it’s still pre-season, Sunday Night Football showed just how much of a boost it typically provides otherwise weak NBC, elevating it to a narrow win in the important adults 18-49 demo for the week ending August 30 . And while CBS topped the viewership ratings, NBC was just behind.

Among tiny networks, MyNetworkTV was narrowly ahead of the CW for viewers and adults 18-49.

We didn’t get 18-34 and 25-54 ratings from Nielsen this week, but that happens occasionally. I hope to have them again next week.

Each rating point is a percentage of the US TV population in that demographic group and equals: 2.90 million viewers, 1.32 million adults 18-49, 0.68 million adults 18-34 and 1.24 million adults 25-54.
