NFL was back, both nationally on ESPN and in several local markets and many shows were down from last week. Jersey Shore dropped 14% with adults 18-49 to a 3.7 rating to go along with the 7.374 million viewers. Despite the drop, it still easily dominated cable. The Seahawks/Chargers game on ESPN was a distant second with a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating and 4.39 million viewers. The Jersey Shore encore at 11pm averaged a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating and 2.4 million viewers.
USA’s Burn Notice was down 0.2 to a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating and 4.739 million viewers and stablemate Suits which had to go head-to-head with Jersey Shore. lost 0.1 to a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating and 3.96 million viewers. Lifetime’s Project Runway was steady with a a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating. FX’s Wilfred, which also had to battle Snooki and crew, was actually up 0.1 from last week to a 0.7 adults 18-49 rating,. Louie was steady with a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating for the normal 10:30 episode (unfortunately I did not see the results for the new episode that aired at 11pm). Comedy Central’s Futurama was down a tenth from last week with a 0.7 adults 18-49 rating.
Ugly Americans was a little less ugly last night, rising a tenth to a 0.4 rating with adults 18-49 and 888K viewers. LA Ink was steady with a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating and 1.119 million viewers.
Update: commenter Nick added some additional data, including the numbers for Lopez Tonight’s final show and the 11pm Louie numbers in the comments, I’ve posted them again below the table.
We only receive the top 100 cable shows for adults 25-54 for the whole day from our source. If you don’t see an original episode of a show here, it’s because it wasn’t in the top 100. I attempt to filter out repeats, kids shows, and most non-primetime shows. Also, to limit the size of the list, I list only the top rated airing of each individual show. Will add extras that @TravisYanan reports later below.
