On the strength of 2 hours of WWE Raw and Monk in the top 5 cable shows for the week, USA again climbed into the drivers seat for primetime cable average viewership and adults 18-49 for the week ending September 27, 2009. Even with Monday Night Football and a Thursday College Football game ESPN couldn’t keep its spot at the top of the primetime cable ratings and fell to 4th in viewership and second in adults 18-49.
Edit: In the original version of this weekly cable networks ratings post, I used the quarterly ratings (for the 3rd quarter) by mistake instead of the weekly ratings for September 21-27, 2009. I promise those are the weekly numbers below.
When you look at the *correct* data, ESPN’s two nights of football *were* enough to keep it atop the cable primetime viewership and adults 18-49 ratings for the week.
Nickelodeon, as usual, took the #1 spot for Total Day cable viewers with Disney Channel at #2 for the week.
