Dustin Johnson Aims For Third Straight Title in Field Highlighted by Former Champions Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh and Davis Love III

CBS Sports travels to the picturesque Monterey Peninsula to cover the AT&T PEBBLE BEACH NATIONAL PRO-AM, contested at the world renowned Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Club and Monterey Peninsula Country Club in Pebble Beach, Calif.  CBS Sports broadcasts the third and final-rounds live on Saturday, Feb. 12 (3:00-6:00 PM, ET) and Sunday, Feb. 13 (3:00-6:30 PM, ET).  Jim Nantz, now in his 26th year covering golf at CBS, serves as anchor of CBS Sports’ golf coverage.  Sir Nick Faldo, winner of six majors and more than 40 tournaments worldwide, serves as lead analyst alongside Nantz in the 18th tower. Ian Baker-Finch mans the 17th; Gary McCord the 16th; and David Feherty and Peter Kostis round out the Network’s golf announce team in Pebble Beach as on-course reporters.

World Golf No. 14-ranked Dustin Johnson looks to defend his 2009 and 2010 titles against a field highlighted by former champions including World Golf No. 4-ranked and three-time champion Phil Mickelson (1998, 2005, 2007), two-time champion Davis Love III (2001, 2003) and 2004 champion Vijay Singh.  Other Top 25-ranked players in the field include No. 10-ranked Jim Furyk and No. 21-ranked Hunter Mahan. Among the many others that will vie for the prestigious title include Mike Weir, Padraig Harrington, John Daly, David Duval, Trevor Immelman, Justin Leonard, Geoff Ogilvy, Mark Wilson, Brandt Snedeker, Tommy Gainey, Rocco Mediate and Jesper Parnevik.

During Saturday’s coverage, which traditionally focuses more on the celebrity Pro-Am round on Pebble Beach Golf Course, CBS Sports’ Nantz and Faldo conduct interviews on the 17th tee with the many celebrity golfers that also make up the Pro-Am field including New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, World Series champion San Francisco Giants pitcher Matt Cain, actors/comedians Bill Murray, Ray Romano and George Lopez, actors Kevin Costner, Andy Garcia, Chris O’Donnell, Oliver Hudson, professional boxer Oscar de la Hoya, women’s soccer star and Olympic gold medalist Brandi Chastain, country music recording artist Clay Walker, professional surfer Kelly Slater, as well as many others.
