Tripleheader of International Soccer on ESPN2 and ESPN3 Tuesday

ESPN2 and ESPN3 will combine to present a tripleheader of international soccer matches Tuesday, Oct. 11, beginning with Germany vs. Belgium in a qualifying match for the UEFA European Football Championship 2012, live from Dusseldorf, Germany, at 12:55 p.m. (also on ESPN Deportes). Adrian Healey (play-by-play) and ESPN International’s match analyst and studio pundit Tommy Smyth have the call.  Highlights:

  • U.S. Men’s National Team, coming off its first win under new coach Jurgen Klinsmann in a 1 – 0 victory over Honduras last Saturday, will face Ecuador, also Tuesday, at 7 p.m. on ESPN and ESPN3;
  • Ian Darke and analyst John Harkes will call the USA vs. Ecuador match, joined by former Mexican Women’s National Team captain Monica González on the sidelines;
  • Mexico vs. Brazil: ESPN Deportes play-by-play commentator Ricardo Ortiz and analyst Robbie Mustoe;
  • ESPN Deportes Jorge Ramos, better known among soccer fans as “el relator de las Américas” (commentator of the Americas), returns to the English-language studio, joining co-analyst Alexi Lalas and host Max Bretos for studio commentaries during prematch, halftime and postmatch segments.
  • Throughout the day, ESPN’s news and information programs, including SportsCenter and ESPNEWS, will provide additional coverage including live look-ins.
