The final presidential debate* took some high-rated shows out of circulation on Oct. 19. FOX’s “Empire” and ABC’s comedy block and “Designated Survivor” were all off that night, so they’re absent from the weekly Top 25.

(*The debate aired commercial-free and thus isn’t included in the final rankings or network averages for the broadcast nets.)

“The Big Bang Theory” was the top entertainment show of the week in adults 18-49 with a 3.5 rating, ranking behind “Sunday Night Football” (6.0) on NBC and “Thursday Night Football” on CBS (4.5). ABC’s Halloween specials “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” (2.2) and “Toy Story of Terror!” (2.0) each made the Top 25 in adults 18-49, and “Great Pumpkin” also made the viewer Top 25.

CBS and NBC tied for the network lead among adults 18-49 and also finished 1-2 in viewers. FOX took a hit without “Empire” and without the NFL boosting its Sunday shows. Here are the network standings for week 5 and the season to date:
