The first full week of 2016 saw “Judge Judy” return to original episodes and to the top of the syndicated rankings with a 7.8 household rating. “Wheel of Fortune” was a close second at 7.6.
“Dr. Phil” (3.2) also reclaimed its spot as the No. 1 syndicated talk show as it returned to new episodes. It edged past “Live with Kelly and Michael” (3.1).

Why do you use household ratings here but nowhere else? Ad deals for syndicated shows are largely based on household ratings and, for daytime shows, ratings among women 25-54.
What about “The Simpsons”? “Simpsons” repeats in syndication are not counted in the weekly ratings because they don’t include any national advertising.
“Weekend Adventure” is a package of nature shows airing weekends on many ABC stations.
For syndicated shows airing on multiple days, the viewership is the average of all telecasts.
