“Family Feud’s” run as the top syndicated show to open 2018 lasted a week.
“Judge Judy” scored a new season high among households (7.8 rating) in the week of Jan. 8 to regain the No. 1 ranking it’s held for most of the 2017-18 season. “Family Feud” dropped one spot to second with a 7.3 but still led the game-show category over “Jeopardy” (7.0).
“Dr. Phil” (3.6) was up vs. the previous week and stayed in first among talk shows. It finished nearly a full point ahead of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” (2.7).

Why do you use household ratings here but nowhere else? Ad deals for syndicated shows are largely based on household ratings and, for daytime shows, ratings among women 25-54.
What about “The Simpsons”? “Simpsons” repeats in syndication are not counted in the weekly ratings because they don’t include any national advertising.
“Weekend Adventure” is a package of nature shows airing weekends on many ABC stations.
For syndicated shows airing on multiple days, the viewership is the average of all telecasts.
