NBC narrowly won week 3’s network race in the adults 18-49 demographic thanks to “Sunday Night Football.” CBS, meanwhile, finished a very close second with a sizable assist from its own primetime NFL broadcast, “Thursday Night Football.”

“SNF” led the week of Oct. 9 in both adults 18-49 (5.6 rating) and viewers (16.16 million). “Thursday Night Football” came in at 4.6 and just under 14.6 million viewers.

“The Big Bang Theory” (2.9) and “This Is Us” (2.8) were the top non-sports shows in the 18-49 demo. “NCIS” pulled in the biggest non-football audience at 13.61 million viewers.
