Piers Morgan Tonight premiered to 2.099 million viewers outperforming CNN’s fourth quarter average (657K) by more than 200%.  In the 25-54 demo it averaged 521,000 viewers,  also more than 200% better than CNN’s Q4 average.

Even with Oprah as his guest, Piers was still second to Hannity (who had Sarah Palin) on Fox News, but he handily bested MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow (who had on Michael Moore).

Our readers poll guesses of Pier Morgan’s first week  were quite evenly divided, but with a start of 2.1 million Piers is a cinch to top a 700,000 viewership average for his first week.
