Our Renew / Cancel Index predicts potential renewal or cancellation for scripted broadcast primetime shows by the end of the 2010-11 season in May, 2011. (includes results through November 28, 2010):

|Better With You||😐 😐 😐||0.77|

Detroit 1-8-7 had additional episodes ordered for this season, and today’s announcement about the premiere date for Body Of Proof makes it clear why. Just enough episodes of Detroit 1-8-7 were ordered to bridge the mid-season gap so that Body Of Proof could follow the Dancing With The Stars results show during its entire spring run. No question that Detroit 1-8-7 is taking the exit to Cancellville at the end of the season.
No Ordinary Family and Better With You have a nearly identical ratings average, but that masks the fact that No Ordinary Family started higher and has fallen further. That’s why it’s “more likely to be cancelled than renewed”, while Better With You is still a “toss up”. Who will win the commenting award by asking about this, before reading the text first?
The Whole Truth is currently scheduled to air at least some episodes in December before it trundles off to Cancellville ahead of Detroit 1-8-7.

The Renew/Cancel Index is the ratio of a scripted show’s new episode adults 18-49 ratings relative to the new episode ratings of the other scripted shows on its own network. It’s calculated by dividing a show’s new episode Live+Same Day adults 18-49 average rating by the Live+Same Day new episode average of all the new scripted show episodes on the show’s own network. The network’s average ratings in the calculation are not time weighted (ex. hour long shows are not weighted twice what 30 minute shows are).
(F) -Fridays: Shows airing on Fridays were renewed with significantly lower than average Indexes.
