Congratulations to the San Francisco Giants!

The Giants won the World Series in five games, and with my Giants fan hat on  that’s a “screw the ratings man, that was some of the best television of all time!” situation.  But for Fox, it was not an ideal outcome.

The matchup featured two teams that the east coast really didn’t care about and pulled ratings through four games that rivaled  the record low rain-delayed World Series between Philadelphia and Tampa Bay in 2008.  That series also only went five games.

Longer series are always better for the network, and had the series been closer and gone a full seven games, Fox’s ratings for the series would’ve been much better.

But screw the ratings, man, that was some of the best television of all time!

Sorry Rangers fans, but that which makes you and Fox sad, at least has a silver lining for Bones and Fringe fans: new episodes this Thursday.
