NBC has canceled its revival of Coach Variety reports. The network gave the revival of the 1990s sitcom a 13 episode straight-to-series order last spring. The series was slated to premiere midseason. The first episode had already filmed. Allegedly the network was not happy with the show’s creative direction.
Coach may not be completely dead. Universal, the studio associated with the project, is reportedly shopping it to other networks and streaming services. Perhaps it will even return to NBC. The network gave drama Emerald City a straight to series order, canceled it before production began, then revived it and gave it another straight-to-series order.
