Last night’s two hour premiere of Falling Skies drew 5.9 million viewers and 2.6 million adults 18-49, which works out to a 2.0 adults 18-49 rating.  While that’s easily ahead of the 5.2 million viewers for the The Walking Dead premiere, The Walking Dead scored a 2.7 adults 18-49 rating, or 35% better with the advertising-coveted adults 18-49.

The numbers for Falling Skies still weren’t shabby, but it looks like post-apocalyptic zombies > post-apocalyptic aliens with viewers under 50. But the big question is how it will do in its second week in its normal 10pm time slot.  For comparative purposes, The Walking Dead dropped a couple of tenths in its second week to a 2.5 adults 18-49 rating.
