We’re sure the finale of Law & Order: Criminal Intent Sunday night on USA won’t set a series high. Back in the NBC days, it once hit a 6.0 adults 18-49 rating, but the “Gunsmoke Rule” is definitely in effect since that was more than 8 years ago.

But the final crime solved by detectives Goren and Eamest could still go out on a high note for the season. So far the season high is a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating for the season premiere.  Last week was a season low tying 0.9 adults 18-49 rating.

The good news for me is that I was late to the Law & Order: CI party, and haven’t seen most of the episodes. The first five seasons are available on Netflix and I’ve still got seasons 2-5 to get through, as well as most of the Goren and Eames episodes after that.

My guess is a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating.
