Months before it premieres in ABC’s Thursday at 8PM deadzone, ABC has expressed its confidence in the Once Upon A Time spinoff Once Upon A Time in Wonderland by ordering additional episodes of the show, which originally received an order for 13 episodes. However, the network will not reveal how many extra episodes have been ordered. Showrunner Edward Kitsis told Entertainment Weekly “We really want to tell the story without having to worry about how to stretch it for five years. The upfront order will be it for the season. This is not meant to be a 22-episode season. Whatever it ends up being, we’ll have told a complete story, with a beginning, middle and end.”

That statement is vague enough to make Lewis Carroll proud. Of course, readers of this site know that the number of episodes ordered does not always correlate with the number of episodes aired.
