FOX’s Alcatraz bows tonight in a two hour premiere. Its success or failure is likely of interest not only to its fans (or potential fans), but also the fans of Terra Nova, the renewal or cancellation of which may hinge on how Alcatraz, The Finder (already premiered) and Touch (yet to premiere) perform early in their runs.

For your handicapping enhancement, here is some Monday ratings history:

  • Terra Nova premiered to a 3.1 adults 18-49 rating in September, 2011
  • On the comparable week 18 Monday last season, House drew a 3.5 rating at 8pm, and Lie To Me had a 1.8 rating at 9pm.

Certainly lots of people had the opportunity to see Alcatraz promos during the FOX NFL divisional games last weekend, judge for yourself what effect they may have.

What’s your guess as to the adults 18-49 ratings for the Alcatraz premiere?
