Terra Nova scored a 3.1 live plus same day adults 18-49 rating in its two hour premiere last week. With three extra days of DVR viewing added in, it bumped up a whole ratings point to a 4.1 adults 18-49 rating. Will any of those extra viewers watch it live (or at least before 3am on their DVRs) tonight? Or perhaps some who watched the Saturday night encore (preliminary 0.9 adults 18-49 rating)  will tune in. The good news for Terra Nova is that last week there was a high-rated Monday Night Football game, and this week’s match-up between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Peyton Manning-less Indianapolis Colts is sure to be less viewed.

The bad news is shows almost always drop from their premieres and this week Terra Nova is only airing in the lesser-viewed 8-9pm hour.  House returns for its season premiere at 9pm and if a bunch of House fans (who are also in Nielsen homes) just can’t wait in tune in 5 minutes early, that could help Terra Nova’s numbers a bit.

Guessing never gets me anywhere, but I’ll play along and figure the fairly standard ~20% drop from the premiere and go with a 2.5 adults 18-49 rating.
