10/3 Update: While technically the renewal of Sleepy Hollow for a second season isn’t a “full season order” it’s the equivalent for a show that’s limited to 12 episodes this season.

Which new Fall broadcast TV show will get an order for a full season first?

New broadcast primetime TV shows are usually given an order for 13 episodes as an initial commitment, and after a certain level of early success, are typically given an order for an additional 9 episodes to complete a “full” season of 22 episodes (although slight variations from 22 are not uncommon).

These full season orders typically happen anytime from the start of the broadcast season until about Thanksgiving, but could conceivably go even later than that, particularly for shows that don’t premiere at the beginning of the season. The busiest period for these announcements is typically mid to late October.

What’s your guess for this season?

While I’ve included all new broadcast primetime shows in the poll (in randomized order) expected to premiere before Christmas, the ones premiering “late” are obviously very highly unlikely to be given a full season order first, but the adventuresome are more than welcome to take a shot.

Like they say in Chicago, vote early, vote often.

Update: Readers with better memories than I, have pointed out that The Michael J. Fox Show already has a 22 episode commitment from NBC. I have removed it from the poll.
