Cablevision has been sending out blurbs from both republicans and democrats who urge WABC-TV to put its content back on Cablevision as it works through the retransmission dispute.

To make up for the lack of WABC-TV (it could still come back before the Academy Awards) Cablevision is giving away FREE On-Demand movies, including Oscar nominees like  “Inglorious Basterds” and “The Hurt Locker.”  Ah to be a Cablevision customer tonight.  I don’t care about awards shows, but I love free On-Demand movies.

*Update* Comments indicate the free movie deal isn’t working well (or at all) as of 7:30pm ET.
