FOX NEWS UP DOUBLE-DIGITS IN PRIMETIME DEMO, RANKS #4 IN ALL OF BASIC CABLE

FOX News Channel (FNC) has been the number one cable news network in total viewers in both Total Day and Primetime for 53 consecutive quarters and 159 consecutive months. FNC is up 10 percent in the first quarter of 2015 versus the first quarter of 2014 in adults 25-54, the key news demographic.

In all of cable, FNC ranks fourth in primetime and total day among total viewers in the first quarter, behind only ESPN and TBS.

Several FNC programs hit milestones during the first quarter. The O’Reilly Factor was the number 1 cable new program in its weekday 8PM timeslot for 60 consecutive quarters (since the second quarter of 200.) The program also delivered its highest adults 25-54 ratings since the fourth quarter of 2012 and its most watched quarter since the second quarter of 2013. Special Report with Bret Baier marked 75 consecutive months as the number 1 cable news program in its weekday 6PM timeslot.  The Five has been number 1 weekdays at 5PM for 45 consecutive months.
