Fox News will finish 2012 as the year’s most watched cable news channel. This is the 11th consecutive year that FNC has been the top cable news channel among Total Viewers and Adults 25-54. FNC was the number three basic cable channel in primetime, behind USA and ESPN in Total Viewers. In Total Day, FNC came in fourth. Overal, it was FNC’s second highest rated delivery ever in Total Viewers for both Primetime and Total Day.

FNC had 2012’s top 11 cable news programs in Total Viewers, including The O’Reilly Factor, Hannity, Special Report With Brett Baier and On the Record with Greta Van Susteren. The channel also had the top 7 programs among Adults 25-54.

It was also a strong year for MSNBC, which had two of the top ten programs among Adults 25-54, The Rachel Maddow Show and Last Word With Lawrence O’Donnell.
