In its debut, original series, “Zeke and Luther,” about two best friends who set their sights on becoming the world’s greatest skateboarders, launched as Disney’s XD’s No. 1 series premiere on record in prime, and No. 1 half-hour series debut on the network overall, among Kids 6-14 (305,000) and Tweens 9-14 (183,000), driven by core Boys 6-14 (232,000) and Boys 9-14 (131,000), respectively.

  • “Zeke and Luther” propelled Disney XD to its highest Monday 8:30 p.m. numbers ever in Kids 6-11 (253,000) and across all target boy demos (B6-14, B6-11, B9-14), and second-highest on record in Kids 6-14 and Tweens 9-14.
  • “Zeke and Luther” towered over also mid-size cable network Nicktoons in the half-hour (“Fairly OddParents: Wishology”), doubling delivery in Total Viewers (485,000 vs. 243,000), more than tripling in Kids 6-14 (224% – 305,000 vs. 94,000), Tweens 9-14 (205% – 183,000 vs. 60,000) and Kids 6-11 (209% – 253,000 vs. 82,000), and with the advantage double to triple in target boy demos as well.
  • “Zeke and Luther” catapulted over year-ago time period levels (6/16/08) nearly tripling delivery in Kids 6-14 (177% – 305,000 vs. 110,000) and Boys 6-14 (167% – 232,000 vs. 87,000).  In Total Viewers “Zeke and Luther” almost doubled year-ago levels (485,000 vs. 253,000).

Disney XD is a  basic cable channel and multi-platform brand that showcases a compelling mix of live-action and animated programming for kids age 6-14, hyper-targeting boys and their quest for discovery, accomplishment, sports, adventure and humor. Disney XD branded content spans television, online, mobile and VOD platforms. The programming includes series, movies and short-form, as well as sports-themed programming developed with ESPN. In the U.S., Disney XD premiered on a 24-hour, advertiser supported network (formerly known as Toon Disney) that reaches over 72 million households via its basic cable affiliates.
