Treme has been renewed by HBO for a third season.

The show’s ratings have been tiny, recently averaging a 0.2 adults 18-49 rating for the initial broadcast of each new episode, but HBO’s business model is driven by subscriber attraction and retention, plus DVD sales, not advertising revenues, so they occasionally keep shows with tiny viewerships for reasons known only to them.
