Petals on the Wind

Last January, Lifetime’s original movie based on the beloved trashy novel Flowers In The Attic garnered a 1.9 adults 18-49 rating, and, with 6.1 million total viewers, became the most watched basic cable movie since November 2012. The network quickly greenlit a movie based on the sequel, Petals On The Wind. It premieres tonight. While Flowers In The Attic aired on a Saturday with the SAG Awards as its only significant competition, Petals On the Wind will face off against the second hour of the The Bachelorette, which appeals to the same female demographic as Lifetime. A lot of fans of the book tuned in to Flowers In The Attic expecting a camp classic to rival Mommie Dearest while Lifetime played the material relatively straight. Will those viewers return for the second chapter of the Dollanger saga? Make your prediction!
