Once again, it was live sports coverage that led the night in the Friday cable ratings last week.

ESPN2 won the top spot with its broadcast of the TCU vs SMU college football game, scoring a 0.3 rating in adults 18-49 and 1.08 million viewers. MSNBC’s “Rachel Maddow Show” followed closely behind with a 0.3, while HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher” returned from a week off and continued its recent 0.3 streak yet again.

MTV’s “Nick Cannon’s Wild ‘N Out” (0.3, 0.3) was similarly even with its previous episodes. Elsewhere, ESPN’s coverage of the U.S. Open men’s semifinals (0.3) landed fairly high in the top 25 as well.

Outside of the top 25, SyFy’s “Wynonna Earp” held steady with another 0.1, as did “Killjoys” (0.1).
