On ESPN, the Tennessee Titans played the Houston Texans, and although the Texans won the game, it was ESPN that truly won the night.  The broadcast of the NFL game came in at a 3.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which was down about 2.5 from last week’s game, but still led the pack among its peers. ESPN’s “Monday Night Kickoff” came in second, with a 1.2 rating, and rounding out the ESPN trifecta was “SportsCenter 12AM” at 1.1.

Putting football aside, “Love and Hip Hop” premiered its ninth season on VH1 with a 1.0 rating, which was a tenth of a point up from last season’s finale.  And speaking of trifectas, USA’s “WWE Entertainment” held one of its own, claiming the fifth, sixth, and seventh slots on the chart.  Each airing had a gradually descending rating of 0.9, 0.8, and 0.7, respective to the hours it ran.
